Although we do not have a large supply of wholesale cockatiel birds, we do try to keep enough to offer them to our customers ordering a mix shipment of birds. Our cockatiels are parent raised, but if you are looking for a handfed we will see if we can arrange that for you. We mostly have the normal variety as pictured on the left, sometimes we get a few of the whiteface variety in also, and they are pictured on the right.
Cockatiels are approximately 12- 13 inches long. They are extremely social birds that usually get along with each other very well. If it has no companions of its own species a young cockatiel will be come very attached to its human keeper.
Cockatiels are fairly hardy birds. They should be kept in cage large enough so that the birds crest does not get damaged against the roof of the cage. Keep in mind that cockatiels love to gnaw on things and quickly learn how to escape, if cage is not strong enough, or escape proofed.
Cockatiels are gregarious, busy birds that like to climb, gnaw & interact with other members of the species. They can learn to imitate the human voice. If they are treated properly they can become very tame.
We feed our Cockatiels a quality cockatiel seed mix. We also offer them fresh leafy greens, fruit, and fruit loops. Always remember to remove any uneaten food that my spoil. There should be a cuttlebone available at all times so that they can eat as much as they need.
